I've always loved the thought of becoming an author even before I knew how to make it a reality.  For too many years I let life get in the way of the dream, and it wasn't until going through some hard times that the dream slapped me in the face and said wake up and do it! 

Over six years ago now, my mom passed away. It was sudden and unexpected and ripped through me.  It was during that mourning period that I sat down and started writing as self therapy. A chance to tell a story about a girl who lost her mom. A girl who wouldn't get to share all the new things that happened in her life. It was a way for me to purge my sadness, but it turned into so much more. 

I'd never be able to explain how truly amazing that time was for me. How much it helped, and at the end of it, I had the first draft of Ruby. There are so many treats and fun times in the story that were pulled right out of my memories with Mom.  Only maybe one or two people alive would ever be able to catch them all. 

So check it out. The first chapters of my books will always be on the site to give you a feel for what to expect along with any content warnings.  To me, reading is fun, it's entertainment, so I hope you will have fun too.
